Kharkiv fables

Illustration
Project Overview
This book speaks to the reader in many voices and in many languages. 30 fables by Hryhoriy Skovoroda, written in the old Ukrainian language in the 1870s, translated into modern Ukrainian. The Kharkiv publishing house "Prometheus" decided to publish a collection of fables of its prominent compatriot in order to popularize his philosophy among young people.
My Contributions
I wanted to make something simple and elegant at the same time. Something that arouses the curiosity of a young inquisitive reader and will not alienate a more mature, mature audience. On the cover, the image of the author is familiar to every Ukrainian, but simplified to the outline of the face and recognizable hairstyle.

The colors of the cover, shades of natural yellow and green, carry the symbolism of harmony with nature and folklore motifs. Illustrations on a green background with black and white main characters add depth and significance to the images, creating an atmosphere of mystery and a sense of the wonderful world of fables.
